This Old Man
This Old Man is a giant mural on the wall of Armenian Street Art Cafe facing Armenian Street, Penang. It was painted by the talented artist, Ernest Zacharevic for the 2012 George Town Festival.
The painting, which appears somewhat incomplete, depicts an elderly man who appears to be preparing a drink for himself.
In fact, this elderly man is Ernest’s neighbour, who is actually famous wooden clogs painter, Mr. Ng Chai Tiam.

Little Children on a Bicycle
Little Children on a Bicycle is a mural on the wall of a shophouse on Armenian Street, Penang. It was painted by the Lithuanian artist, Ernest Zacharevic.
It depicts a little girl taking her younger brother for a bicycle ride. The joy in their face echoes down the street, providing a ray of cheer and adding character to Armenian Street.
It combines mural painting with an old bicycle, to create a three-dimensional rendition.
Ever since the mural was completed, it has drawn visitors in increasing numbers to stop over and take shots with them with creative poses.

Updates
Vandalism reared its ugly head when the it was defaced by what appeared to be yellow paint. This however was later discovered to be waxed and two siblings Tan Jia Hang, 20, and his sister Tan Jia Shin, 19, were each given RM300 as a token of appreciation for cleaning up the Little Children on a Bicycle mural, which was defaced.
